NOTD: Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Bling It On (My Birthday Nails)

Its my birthday soon!
You guys know I'm a sucker for glitter and anything that sparkles so I totally wanted to try these out and see if I wanted to use them for my Birthday! They are so fun and shimmery and of course they are PINK. These are nail strips by Sally Hansen. They can be found at most drugs stores and there are TONS of different colors and designs.
This style/color is called Bling It On. The directions were pretty self explanatory. It was kinda tricky to place them at the right point on your nail so it evenly covers everything. You get the hang of it after a few tries. I have tried different brands on nail strips and these seem to work the best so far.
If you have tried these please let me know. I would love to know how they lasted for you and what fun designs you have tried!

Sample Sundays: Bare Minerals Pretty Amazing Lipcolor in Confidence

Hey Everyone.
This is something new that I will be doing every Sunday. I have a huge box filled with samples and I realized that I need to start doing something with them. I asked my friends on my Facebook page if they would want me to do this and the vote was yes. So every Sunday, expect a post about a random sample that I will be reviewing. Samples are a great way to try something new, see if you like it first before you commit to buying it. Let me know if you like me doing this. Also it would be fun to have Guest Posts from you guys who have samples at home! Let me know what you think!

This is a sample I got from Bare Minerals a while ago. This is a new color that I havent tried and figured it would be fun to share it with you. I have tried other Pretty Amazing lip colors and I love them. They are so pigmented, creamy, and long lasting.

I love how much you get in this sample size. Its about 2mL/0.07 Oz. Perfect for traveling or your makeup purse. The full size Pretty Amazing Lip colors are $16
On the Bare Minerals website, they describe this color and a berry pink. Its a really pretty color. I love how pigmented these lip colors are and they have a nice glossy finish. Really smooth on the lips and last that way all day. If you eat something the color still nicely stays on but the gloss might fade a bit. I really love the applicator. One of my favorite features of this lip color. Its a spongy flexible applicator that comes to a nice pointy tip for great easy application. Perfect for getting a nice clean line around your lips.

Check out my review of the Pretty Amazing Lip Colors from when they first came out. You  will be able to check out the original colors ;) See you next Sunday!!

JewelMint: Back to Tulum Bracelets

Hey everyone!
Couple days ago I got my recent JewlMint Purchase for this month. This is an older piece but decided to get it now. I guess it just reminded me of summer and made me realize I cant wait for warm weather.
I thought this would be really cute with a casual tank top, and jeans and some sandals. Just a simple couple a bracelets to dress up a casual outfit.

I love how these three bracelets go together. The only thing I was kind of disappointed about was the rope bracelet and the gold bracelet. The rope bracelet is a little tight on my wrist. I wish it was a little looser. The gold bracelet fits perfect but feels a little cheap. Seems like it can be easily bent.
Honestly I dont think this was worth $29.99 but I still like the bracelets.
Those are my only complains but in the end I like how it looks on.

Let me know what you got this month! Id love to get ideas of what I might want to purchase next.

Review: Elf Conditioning Lip Balm SPF 15

Hey Gals! Lately my lips have been really dry rough from the winter weather. I have been using lip gloss but we all know most lip glosses arent the best way to REALLY hydrate your lips.
I have been researching some different brands of lip balms out there and I heard great things about ELFs new Lip Balms. They are pretty similar to NYXs lip balms but half the price.
I went on their website and they have 6 shades available. All of them were pretty and all different from one another. They were only $3.00! How cheap!
This is their description on them on their website:

"With the e.l.f. Conditioning Lip Balm, lips get treated to a sheer splash of color that’s super smooth, velvety soft and non-sticky. Not only are these sheer, natural shades beautiful, they’re also beneficial, with natural ingredients that condition dry, chapped lips including Vitamins A & E. SPF 15 to protect delicate lips against harmful sun damage"

I was sold and wanted to try them. I ended up ordering all of them!

When I opened my package from ELF, I was totally surprised how big they were. You get a lot of product in these containers! You get about 0.26 oz./7.5g.
I also really liked the packaging. They are kinda big for your makeup bag but for the amount of product you get, and the nice container, I dont care ;)

So I swatched all the colors and tried them on as soon as I got them. All I can say is that i LOVE them. There wasn't one color that I didnt like. They were sheer, creamy, but still had a lot of color for a lip balm. I used my finger to apply them but its kind of a tight fit for your finger. To apply these, I would probably use a lip brush. Way easier.  I also did notice a tingly feeling this balms gave off. Its a lip plumper feeling. So if you dont like those, you might not like these. I cant explain the scent. Smells almost fruity and sweet like a vanilla coconut.

Peaceful Pink, Romantic Rouge

 Nice & Natural, Mellow Melon

 Blissful Berry, Bombshell Brown

Here are the swatches of all the colors
Left to Right:
Peaceful Pink, Nice & Natural, Mellow Mellon, Blissful Berry, Romantic Rouge, Bombshell Brown
After trying these balms, I totally love them.
Pros:
Nicely Pigmented
Great Packaging
Very affordable
Nice range of colors
SPF 15
Creamy, smooth

Cons:
Lip Brush would be easier to apply

If you try them out, let me know what you think about them!

BASICS: Winged Eye Liner

I get asked a lot how I do my eyeliner. To be honest I used to be horrible at it but I loved the look so much I practiced and figured about a method that worked for me. I created a video showing how to achieve this look below and also have a step by step instruction on how to create a winged liner.

Step One:
Line your lash line. Start from the outer corner and work your way in. Make small lines moving inwards and overlap each time to make a line.
Make the line go from thin to thick, inner corner start thin and gradually make the outer end thicker.

Step Two:
Create a line starting from your outer corner of your eye and draw it towards the end of your brow. You can make the line as long as you would like
Step Three:
To make this line, start from the corner of your eye and pull your liner brush down creating little lines. Overlap the lines to create an easy straight line.

 Step Four:
Now we need to create a triangle. Start a line from the center of the line you created and connect it to the line you made on your lash line.

Step Five:
Fill in the inside of the triangle to complete your winged liner.
Ta-dah! Your done!

Hope that was helpful for everyone! Now you will be a pro and the classic winged liner ;)
The brush that I used for this tutorial is the Bare Minerals Soft Focus Liner Brush.

NOTD: Nicki Minaj Fly

Hey Gals. Bought another Nicki Minaj nail polish. This one is called Fly.
I love how bright and vibrant it is. Its like a perfect blueish turquoise. I think this will be fun to wear during the summer. I seriously cant think about wearing bright colors yet so I will wait till spring or summer. So I will be saving this polish for that.
With this polish I only need to do two coats. Wasn't streaky like the first Nicki Minaj polish I bought. I really havve a thing for bright colors that have no shimmer and are more matte. Love it ;)

What colors do you like from the Nicki Minaj collection?

NOTD: Nicki Minaj Pink Friday

Hey Gals. So I'm sure all of you know that Nicki Minaj nail polishes by OPI are finally available and I had to go check them out. The one that I needed the most was Pink Friday. It is the most PERFECT barbie lookin pink ever. Its too cute.
The color is amazing but the only thing I didnt like about the polish was that it seemed a little streaky when I applied it. Did anyone else notice that? I had to apply at least 3-4 coats of it so it didnt look light that. Kinda sucks but the color is so amazing I dont care.

If you love pink, and barbie, and Nicki Minaj like me...then you GOTTA go get this color before its gone. Cant wait to rock this color out during summer. Might go pick up the turquoise one too ;)

JewelMint: Smooth Sailing Necklace

Hey guys.
My new favorite obsession is JewelMint. I'm sure most of you are familiar with JewelMint but if you arent, its a monthly jewelry subscription.
Here is the description from the website:

"Experience an exclusive jewelry collection designed by actress and fashion icon, Kate Bosworth, and her celebrity stylist, Cher Coulter. Inspired by the runway, vintage pieces and places they love, Kate and Cher design a versatile collection each month, so we can recommend the perfect pieces to match your style."

The first thing you do is take a free test which will create your style profile. Then from the questions you answered you get a selection of jewelry each month based on your profile. If you sign up for the subscription you get a "credit" of $29.99 to spend on a piece of jewelry from the selection they picked for you. Basically that $29.99 is taken from your bank account each month...which you can stop at any time.

This is what I got from my January selections. Cant wait to wear this during summer time with a cute tank top

I love the jewelry they have on here. They are nicely made and its pieces you dont normally see at the mall or where ever your normally shop. ;)

I have gotten other pieces from them that I will start blogging about.
What pieces have you gotten from JewelMint?
