Review: NEW bareMinerals MOXIE Lip Collection

Here is the blog post you have been waiting for! Last weekend Bare Minerals preview their new lip collection, Marvelous MOXIE. This collection features 20 brand new lip sticks, 10 new lip liners, and 4 new Moxie Lipgloss additions.

This collection is amazing. There is so much to choose from! There is something for everyone. I really happy that they decided to really expand the colors and have tons of options. There are soft shades, bright, and dark colors!

I was so excited about the lipsticks. When I saw them I was totally overwhelmed with all the colors. I wanted everything! To start off I got 5 out of the 20 shades. I picked 5 colors that were very different from each other so you can see the color range.

I will start off by saying that these lipsticks are super creamy! They glide really easily across your lips and feel very hydrating. These lipsticks contain Abyssinian Oil and Omega Fatty Acids to make your lips super smooth. Other ingredients are the vitamin A, C and E complex that helps to deliver antioxidant defense. What I love the most is the color payoff! You can get full coverage with these lipsticks. Also I noticed that these lipsticks are pretty long wearing. After I removed the lipstick it left a stain, so you can tell how really pigmented they are.

The swatches....

My favorite has to be Stand Out. I love how it looks on the lips and its dark without being too dark :)

The packaging of the lipsticks are pretty cool. The actual container is very sleek and clean. There is a cool way to open the lipsticks by a pull down button feature. You pull down the button to release the top. When you put the lipstick back in, you want to make sure you hear a click! The bottom of the container has the name a shows the color of the lipstick which is always helpful when your looking for a color.

Moxie lip glosses have been out for awhile now. I was excited to see there were 4 new additions to the line. I got 3 out of the 4 colors. I like Moxie glosses because they give you a minty cool feeling to your lips. You can also get a sheer to medium coverage.

I was really excited for the red gloss called game changer. I am always looking for a great red gloss to wear on its own or to layer on top of something else. Rule Breaker which is a pearlescent nude gloss also caught my eye. It looks great with a little liner and the gloss on top. Stunner is a bright cool purple/pink gloss. So pretty.

Last but not least...the lip liners. They previewed 10 new lip liners. There is such a great range of color choices, you can match a lip liner with anything!

The packaging of the lip liner is really nice. It's very sleek and clean. This lip liner is a twist up liner so you do not have to sharpen. I think a lot of people will be happy about this. There is also rubber grips near the base of the pencil which is a nice feature.

I only picked up one lip liner because I wanted to test it out first before I purchase more. The one I liked is called Revved. I figured it would go well with "Stand Out" lipstick I got. When I applied it, I was so surprised on how creamy it was! It literally glided on like butter. I also noticed it was longer wearing. Stayed on for a really long time. This pencil also claims to prevent feathering or bleeding of the lipstick. I am totally going to pick some more up once they officially launch.

So I hope you guys are as excited as I am about this lip collection from Bare Minerals. It will launch April 30th. Go check them out and let you know what you get!

MOTD: Pop Of Purple

Hi Gals.
I thought I would start posting MOTD or Makeup Of The Day. I think I have done this in the past but I stopped. Soooooo....I'm going to start again. This will be my first upload up MOTD.

This is what I like to do during spring/summer time. I love a neutral eye but sometimes its fun to add a pop of color. I like to add my pop of color under the lower lash line. It makes the look more fun and flirty. You can seriously do any pop of color you want. Its all looks great. One color I might avoid is red or pink. People might think your eyes look irritated or maybe it will look like you have been crying. We don't want that. Ha!

So here are the products that I used to create this look:

Bare Minerals Prime Time for Eyes

Makeup Geek Shadow in Shimma Shimma (brow highlight)
Bare Minerals Lost for Words shadow (all over lid)
Bare Minerals Silk Stockings Shadow (7 ways to Bare kit)(lower lid)
Bare Minerals Shadow in Namaste (enlightenment duo)(crease)
MAC Espresso Eyeshadow (socket)
Sephora Pantone Shadow in 13-2802 (pantone universe palette)(under lower lash line)
Bare Minerals Round the Clock Liner in 6am (lower lash line)
Be a Bombshell Liner (top lash line)
Eylure #202 Lashes (www.ladymoss.com)

Review/Swatches: Maybelliene Color Whispers

Hey Gals,

Over these past couple months I have been really into Lip Balms since its spring time. These lip balms are from Maybelline called Color Whispers. There are 20 shades available that ranges from sheer all the way to full coverage.

I really love the texture of these balms. They feel like a gel. They are very light weight, nice fruity scent, and stay pretty creamy. The color pay off really depends on the color. If the color is light, the payoff is pretty sheer. The darker the color, the more pigmentation there is.

I think the packaging is really eye catching. The color of the cap matches the color of the balm. I love that so you know what it will look like. on the ends of the container, there is the name of the balm and a number that goes along with it.

Left to Right:
25 Lust For Blush
 60 Petal Rebel
 75 Rose of Attraction
 05 Go Nude
35 Coral Ambition
 40 Orange Attitude

I feel like most of the colors are pretty buildable. You can make them sheer or make them a little more pigmented. It really depends on the color. I really like the glossy finish that this balm gives off. Keeps your lips looking nice and hydrated. These balms are not long lasting because of the slippery, creamy texture so you will have to re apply later on in the day.

These are my favorite lip balms out there right now. The consistency is great and I am really picky about Lip Balms. I have tried the Lip Butters, and I would say I like these so much better.

If you have tried these, whats your favorite or what other color should I try?

Review: Bare Minerals "7 Ways To Bare"

Hey Gals....its been awhile.
Bare Minerals came out with another eyeshadow set that I was really excited about. You all know that I love my neutrals and I cant get enough of them.

This set is called "7 Ways To Bare." It includes seven loose small mineral shadows, one for every day of the week. This set retails for $38. Just to let you all know that the shadows are the smaller eyeshadow size which is 0.28 g/ 0.01 oz. Even tho its a smaller size shadow, they will still last you a long time! There is a pretty good range of colors and finishes in this set.

Left to Right:
Pearl Sateen Shadow
Nude Beach Matte Shadow
Chic Nude Shadow (permanent)
Silk Stockings Shadow
Pamper Shadow
In the Nude Shadow
Spiced Fig Liner Shadow

My favorite has to be the Silk Stocking Shadow, and the Pamper Shadow. They both have really pretty shimmery finishes.

Pearl Sateen would be great for a brow highlight. It has a very subtle shimmer. The Nude Beach and Chic Nude Shadow would be perfect for a base on the lid because of the matte finish and neutral undertone. I have used In the Nude for a crease color. I love putting matte browns in the crease to define my eye. Spiced Fig looks great for a smokey look on the outer corner of the lid on used to smudge in the lash line.

I am really happy with this set. If you are looking for some great basic neutrals, then check it out.

Whats your favorite color?
