My "No Makeup" Natural Makeup Look

Hey Ladies. I thought it would be fun to challenge myself to create a "no makeup", natural makeup look. This look is great for anyone who is on the go, moms that don't have time to put a full face on but wants to look flawless, or just a natural look for everyday.

I wanted to make my skin look flawless and fresh. I started out with my daily moisturizer from Bare Minerals for Normal to Dry skin. To make sure my foundation goes on smooth, I used my Bare Minerals Face primer to create a smooth surface and make sure my foundation lasts all day.
Face Products:
Bare Minerals Purely Nourishing Moisturizer (Normal to Dry Skin)
Bare Minerals Prime Time foundation primer
Bare Minerals Original foundation in Medium Beige

Conceal/Brighten:
MAC Studio Finish Concealer in NC30
Bare Minerals Summer Bisque Concealer with SPF20
Bare Minerals Well Rested Eye Brightener SPF20

Bronzer/Contour Powder:
Bare Minerals READY Bronzer in Skinny Dip
MAC Blush in Harmony (matte)

Blush/Highlighter:
MAC Blush in Mocha
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Soft and Gentle

I wanted to keep the eyes simple and just focus on shading and shaping the eyes with colors that are close to my skin tone. For doing your own eyes, find a light medium and darker shade close to your skin tone.
Eyes:

Bare Minerals Ready Shadow in Serendipitous (brow highlight)
Bare Minerals Prime Time for Eyes (eyelid primer)

MAC Eyeshadow in Arena (lower Lid)
MAC Eyeshadow in Texture (crease)
Bare Minerals Big and Bright Eyeliner in Charbronze (lash line)
Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara in Black
MAC Lashes #48

Lips:
Bare Minerals Moxie Lipgloss in Show Off

This look is very easy and quick. You don't have to use as many products as I did. Some of you might think this is way to much makeup for a natural look, but like I said, this is just my version. Also remember, the colors I used might not be best for everyone. Find colors that are close to your skin tone.

NOTD: Essie Nail Polish in Fiji

Its spring time! My favorite color to wear during spring is a soft pink. My favorite pink nail polishes are from Essie. The other day I day I went to Walgreens to see if there were any pinks that I needed to try.

The first pink that caught my eye was Fiji. It was a nice soft pink that was kind of on the bright side. I knew since I am currently on the pale side, it would make me look tan! It totally does, don't you think?

You can get away with just two coats but it looked a little streaky on me so I ended up doing three. Check this Essie nail polish out. Great color for Spring!

What other pink Essie nail polishes should I try?

Review: Bare Minerals Intensive Glow Pads Brightening Treatment

Hey everyone. If you don't know already, I am really obsessed with Bare Minerals skincare line. Everything I have used so far has worked and improved my skin. When a new skincare product comes out, I have to try it. This month, Bare Minerals launch their newest treatment called the Intensive Glow Pads Brightening Treatment. This treatment is great! I didnt think I would see results this fast but I have.

" Brighten and renew skin with this targeted radiance treatment. Powered by our proprietary ActiveSoil Complex, these intensive glow pads infuse skin with potent vitamins and minerals and increase cell turnover to deliver incredible luminosity and noticeably improved skin tone and texture"
-Bare Minerals Website

How much and where can I find this treatment?
This Glow Pads retails for only $35. Not bad for a treatment! You get a 2 month supply (60 pads) of the treatment. You can find it at the Bare Minerals website, Bare Mineral Boutiques, counters, Sephora and Ulta.

The Intensive Glow Pads Brightening Treatment Ingredients:
-Active Soil Complex
-Hydrolyzed Candida Saltoana- This is a yeast extract smoothes skin and improves skins radience
- Apple, Watermelon, and Lentil Extracts- These extracts provide hydratation and help retain water
- Kombuchka Black Tea- smoothes skins surface and improves skins texture
Sugar Cane, Sugar Maple, Orange, Lemon, and Bilberry Extracts- These extracts help unclog pores and soften skin
When do you use this treatment?
After you cleanse the skin, sweep either side of the pad over the face in circular motions. The bumpy side is great for exfoliation. If you skin is sensitive, try the rough side once a week at first. The softer side is more for everyday use unless you want a daily exfoliation. You will find a slight tingle. This is totally normal. If this bothers you, try using the softer side or use the treatment every other day, or a few times a week.

What do I think?
I have made this treatment part of my nightly skincare routine now. I have noticed that my skin looks noticeably smoother, softer, and more hydrated. My pores are starting to also look smaller.
I totally recommend this is anyone. Its a great treatment and I am totally satisfied with it. If you use it, don't get freaked out by the tingling. This is normal. If its too intense, use the softer side and don't use the treatment as much.

Let me know how you like it if you have tried it!

Sample Sundays: Bare Minerals Advanced Protection SPF 20 Moisturizer

Hey Everyone. So I'm a day late on my Sample Sundays post but better late than never. I recently received this sample of the new moisturizer from Bare Escentuals. This moisturizer will have SPF 20 in it. I know a lot of people have been wanting a moisturizer from BE that has sunscreen so it will soon be available I believe this month.

The sample I got was the moisturizer SPF 20 for combination skin. I believe they will come out with a moisturizer for normal to dry skin too with SPF. I wish I was able to try that one because my skin is more on the dry side.

I normally use the Bare Minerals moisturizer for normal to dry skin. In the picture above, I am showing the new moisturizer with SPF20 combo skin (top) compared to the original moisturizer for combo skin (bottom). You can see that the new moisturizer is a bit thicker than the original. It also is more on the white side because of the sun screen.

What do I think about this new moisturizer?
I love the idea that we now have the option of SPF or no SPF. Personally I did not like the consistency of this moisturizer. It was a bit too thick for me. I wish it was a little more hydrating, but then again, this moisturizer was for combination skin and not normal to dry skin. I do want to try the normal to dry moisturizer when its available. I think I will like that better. One thing I do really like about this moisturizer is the smell. All Bare Mineral skincare products smell really fresh and natural. They dont have those artificial fragrances that smell too floral or fruity. They smell really earthy and natural. This moisturizer has a nice oaty smell.

I do recommend trying this moisturizer out tho. Just because I didnt like this consistency, doesnt mean you wont like it either. Its always good to have a moisturizer with sunscreen if you arent using any other products with sun protection.

Urban Expressions Purses

Hey everyone,
So I've been craving a new purse lately. My favorite website recently launched their new spring purses and I want them all! I love buying purses from BagHaus.com. I have ordered 2 purses from them already and I love them. I have never gotten so many compliments on a purse before.

Baghaus.com carries my favorite brand for purses called Urban Expressions. Its not an expensive designer brand that cost tons of money, but thats what I like about it. All their purses have great detailing and they are all really good quality and nicely made. They look expensive! Their purses range about 50-70$. Not bad at all. A lot of them come in different colors so you have more options which is nice.

These are the purses I am currently looking at. Which one should I get?

1. Dakota Bag $65
2. Love Letter Bag $65
3. Rhapsody Bag $68

Review: Bare Minerals Marvelous Moxie Lip Gloss

Hey Gals! Bare Minerals just launched their brand new line of lip glosses! I've been dying to see these in person. I'm so excited that they added these to the Bare Minerals line as a permanent product.
As some of you may know, Bare Minerals made thier Buxom line exclusive to Sephora only. The Buxom glosses used to be available at BE counters, and boutiques. They made "Marvelous Moxies" to take the place of Buxom in counters and boutiques.

They made 10 different shades for the Marvelous Moxies. All of them are pigmented, creamy, high shine,  and have a refreshing peppermint taste.

" This luscious lipgloss delivers sheer, vivid color and a shiny mirror-like finish that lasts for hours. Infused with natural ingredients, exotic oils, botanical extracts, and antioxidants, the refreshing formula smoothes and hydrates lips for superior comfort." -BE Website

Risk Taker: A golden chocolate shade

Party Starter: Bright Coral Shade

 Show Off: Baby Pink Shade

Smooth Talker: golden pink shade

Spark Plug: Dusty Pink Pearl

I think the packaging is very cute. I am usually not a sponge applicator fan but I kind of like the shape of this one. The applicator is slanted so it lays perfectly on your lips.

These retail for $18 and you can find them at Bare Escentuals online, boutique, and counter. I recommend everyone to check them out. The color are gorgeous. I cant wait to get more!

NOTD: Sally Hansen Salon Effects in Tu Tu Much

Happy Friday! I always find myself picking up a new pack of the Sally Hanson Salon Effects nail strips every time I go into the drugstore. This time I picked up two new ones, a red and a pale pink.

I used the pink one called Tu Tu Much, which is basically a baby pink. When I pealed the polish strip off the backing, I noticed that the pink was more sheer than I wanted. It looked kind of translucent. I was worried I was not going to like it but after seeing them all on I loved how it turned out. It was a soft wash of pink. Looked great after I applied my favorite top coat from Poshe.

I feel like this color makes my hands look clean, and nicely manicured. You can hardly tell they are nail polish strips. It looks like your typical nail polish. Love it. I will for sure be buying these again.

Review: MAC Sheen Supreme Lipglass

Hey Gals. MAC came out with another new collection that was all about glosses and lipsticks. Since I am a lip gloss hoarder, I had to go check them out.
These lip glosses come in a twist up pen style applicator. They are sheer but have a pretty pearlescent finish. They feel very creamy on the lips. You can get these at any MAC stores, counters and also on their online website. They retail for $22.50

Jasmine Honey - Light Cream Beige

Almond Blossom- Pale Pink with Pearl Finish
(this one is my favorite)
Cherry Fest- rose with pearl finish

Let me know what colors you like if you have tried them. I think I need to go pick up a couple more ;)

Review: MAC Chenman Love and Water

Hey everyone. A new MAC Collection is out. This collection is called Chenman Love and Water. MAC teamed up with will known photographer Chen Man from Beijing and created this collection inspired by her favorite things.
" East meets West. A sensual color collection created in collaboration with Beijing-born fashion photographer, Chen Man, inspired by her infatuation with love and water, yin and yang, pink and blue." - MAC Website

Everything in the collection was pink and blue. There were a few products that seemed so similar to past products or possibly re promotes. There were a few things I really liked but felt like I had something very similar already. I only picked two things that I knew I didn't have a dupe of at home.

MAC Play It Proper Beauty Powder

Usually I'm not a fan of beauty powders but this one stood out to me. When I swatched it, it had a really pretty pearlescent finish to it. I totally could see this as a soft cheek highlight. This beauty powder retails for $27.50

The other thing that stood to me were the glosses. I LOVE collecting glosses and I really like both in the collection. The cooler lavender one was really pretty, but I knew I would hardly wear it. This hot pink lipglass was so vibrant and bright. I had to grab it.
MAC Force of Love Lipglass

Lipglasses are my favorite along with the cremesheen lipglasses from MAC. These are so pigmented and smell great. lip glasses retails for $17.50. Here is what this color looks like on my lips.

What did you get from this collection? Is there anything you think is a must have??
